District Attorney
FACTS:
What is the primary function of a District Attorney? It has been stated, that the primary function of a District Attorney is to prosecute criminal law violators within a judicial district.
OPINIONS:
In my opinion, the Lafourche Parish Dictrict Attorney will not be judged by the people he attempted to prosecute, but the people he did not attempt to prosecute.
In a good faith effort to aide the DA, the following is a group of one-word hints and statements which could be violations of the law.
Water line on East 40th Street, Generators, grass seeds, expenditure of public funds on friends and family members, creating a law to right a violation on parish overtime pay, the expenditure of tax payers money for an accident involving a non-public employee, and taking part in dropping litigations against campaign contributors.
In my opinion, the DA may want to investigate the expenditure of public funds on a candidate for public office during a political campagne by allegely being provided with a bullet proof vest and body guard by the Lafourche Parish sheriff’s department.
One should not forget the physical attack by a public employee on an elected official, in a public building.
