The Jellyfish Pond, Spineless or Brainless?
FACTS:
Public Works Director Retains Position, is the title of an article written by Alcess P. Adams in the July 2,2006 edition of The Lafourche Gazette. The Lafourche Gazette is a local newspaper located in the community of Larose, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
OPINIONS:
According to the above referenced article, Councilman Phillip Gouaux stated that the director (Ray Cheramie) was in a no-win situation with the generators. He would have been crucified whether the generators sat unused at the barn or were loaned to citizens. In my opinion, the director did not and will not be crucified. Is Mr. Gouaux trying to cover up a crime? Was Mr. Gouaux aware of the alleged crime at the time of the incident?
According to the above referenced article, Councilman Phillip Gouaux stated that the parish has no policy for distribution of commodities in emergency situations. The definition of commodities is article for sale. In my opinion, Mr. Gouaux is wrong again. The parish does have a policy on loaning out public equipment. Obey State Laws. In my opinion, Mr. Cheramie did not obey state law and Floyd (MR. Gouaux) is trying to come up with excuses as a smoke screen.
According to the above referenced article, council chairperson Goober (Brent Callais) stated that the resolution (requesting the termination of the DPW Director) was a knee-jerk reaction. Goober urged his colleagues (some of the other jellyfish in the pond) to let all the cards fall before taking action. In my opinion, tons of bricks has fallen on the alleged illegalities of this administration and council. Goober, there are no cards in your deck. In my opinion, this school of jellyfish will never do what is right and proper.
I hear that meat tenderizer is effective on reducing the pain associated with jellyfish stings. In my opinion, councilmen Lasseigne and Lorraine will need a lot of meat tenderizer if they are going to swim around in this pond.
