Lafourche First, Where Are You?
FACTS:
Lafourche is on the brink of greatness, but dwelling on negatives will hold us back; A statement by the Lafourche Parish President at the Lafourche Parish Council meeting held June 27, 2006. Charlotte, Angelette, Danos, Randolph Began her four year term as Lafourche Parish President in January of 2004. She began her term with a 45 million dollar surplus, compliments of the previous administration. This surplus afforded ms. Randolph the opportunity to live up to her campaign promises of cutting back on taxes.
Two years later, Ms. Randolph is requesting additional taxes and early tax renewal elections. It is rumoured today that parish employees and parish elected officials only received 1/2 of a due paycheck. Why? Is our tax money being managed properly? Where can we find positive in Lafourche Parish if our elected officials are lacking in money managing skills?
OPINIONS:
In my opinion, I would be fearful of facing a judge who just received an alleged 1/2 of a paycheck.
In my opinion, Lafourche First was looking for the best politicians money could buy.
In my opinion, Lafourche First and Lafourche Parish ended up with some of the worst politicians money can buy.
In my opinion, the citizens of Lafourche Parish will take their heads out of the sand and send a serious message to all special interest groups on July 15, 2006.
Now for a positive———in my opinion, Lafourche First no longer exist, they all faded away from embarrassment.
Another positive———–in my opinion, viewing the last council meeting marked the end of political careers for Charlotte Randolph, Phillip Gouaux, Brent Callais, and my good friend Cam Morvant.
Planet Earth is watching, as the good citizens of Lafourche Parish are kept informed. Please stay tuned as we search for the other alleged 1/2 of the pay check.
