Were They Really There?

FACTS:

It is said that Lafourche Parish Councilman Tommy Lasseigne found out about the alleged flood protection rental fees of $5.2 million, through an audit report.  The alleged placement of the flood devices occurred 10 months prior to the discovery by Councilman Lasseigne.

OPINIONS:

In my opinion, the amount of time it would take to inflate the number of devices that are being invoiced for, would have allowed ample time to call an emergency meeting of the Governing Authority.  It is alleged that Councilmen Gouaux and Callais were aware of the alleged incident, but did not call for an emergency meeting.  WHY?  The parish president sounded as though she was a deer hunter when she said “the buck stop here”.  Why didn’t Lafourche Parish President Charlotte Randolph, arrange for an emergency meeting?

Even going into a hospital emergency room, authorization is sought (unless the emergency provider slept at a Holiday Inn Express ) before proceeding with treatment.  Timing is critical in an emergency.  In this alleged incident,  the so-called pooped people had to transport all of the alleged devices and a water pump to its alleged location by boat.  Each device would have to be connected to the pump, inflated, disconnected, pump moved, connect to another and the process would continue for a long time.  Were all of these devices really used?  Is it true that two councilmen (who are usually with the administration) said that there was something smelly about the alleged incident?

Who will move first on this alleged outrage, the media, sheriff department, DA, FEMA investigators, State Attorney General, Federal investigators, or none of the above?  Will the question ever be answered?  Were they really there?
