“The Boy Can’t Cut the Mustard”

FACTS:

Brent Callais, during his campaign for Lafourche Parish Council member, stated that he was disappointed in Councilman Marlbrough’s lack of leadership as Chairman of the Lafourche Parish Council.

OPINION:

In my opinion, it appears that Mr. Callais do not realize that being chairman is more than a ceremonial position.

At last night’s regular session of the Lafourche Parish Council meeting, it allegedly became obvious that Mr. Callais’ employer was in opposition to the passage of a resolution introduced by Daniel Lorraine.  The resolution requesting oil companies doing business in Lafourche Parish dispose of their virgin barite and cement in a responsible manner with a permitted facility in Lafourche Parish, was item 47 on the council agenda.  The measure passed 6 to three, with Chairperson Brent Callais voting in opposition.  It appeared that the Chairman didn’t have enough leadership to muster up four votes.
One should not send a BOY out for the beer.  Leadership is much more than being  peacockish and bragging on one’s self.  It is alleged that Mr. Callais could not deliver the goods.  If it were you, would you be nervous about seeing your employer this morning?
