Are Our Elected Officials Living up to Their Responsibilities in Lafourche Parish?

FACTS:

If you hire a professional yard man at ten dollars an hour, ten hours a day to work in your yard, he would probably do a pretty decent job.  If that same professional yard man was paid ten dollars an hour, ten hours a day, to do ten different yards a day, could that yard man be expected to do the the same caliber of work in each yard, as he might do in one yard in ten hours.
The tax payers of Lafourche Parish elected District Attorney Cam Morvant, as their “legal yard man”.  It appears that Mr. Morvant is trying to work too many different yards, which may cause him to be lacking in his responsibilities.

OPINIONS:

Referring to an article by Matt LeBlanc in the October 11, 2006 edition of the Tri-Parish Times, entitled “Lafourche DA steps up programs to deter violence in schools”, is an example of the “legal yard man” trying to maintain some one else’s yard, who would rather do their own yard.  Most parents and teachers live up to their responsibilities of caring for all of the students of Lafourche Parish.  The minute amount of time devoted to students by the DA would better benefit the students by devoting that time towards arrest and conviction of child predators and drug dealers.
Rather than campaigning at a Lafourche Parish School Board meeting, the DA, along with his good friend , the Sheriff may want to investigate the alleged public corruption in Lafourche Parish.
The Sheriff, DA, Parish President, and Parish Council chose to run for a position of responsibility.  They are to be commended.  They are also expected to live up to their responsibility.

Stay in touch, observe their actions rather than listen to their words.  Each one  should cut their own grass, before attempting to cut some one else’s grass.
