Headlines in local media reads ” Two Lafourche Parish Sheriff Office deputies arrested, fired”. The incident is a he said-they said situation. It is said that the alleged allegations is certainly out of character for LPSO veteran deputy Sgt. William Constant. Why did Sheriff Craig Webre fire Sgt. Constant so quickly?

It is alleged that super-nice guy, Sgt. William Constant is well liked by all LPSO employees. It is also alleged that Sheriff Craig Webre is loosing his grip on reality. It is stated by many that the present Sheriff is arrogant and is not in good standing with his employees. Could it be that Sheriff Webre might have heard that Sgt. Constant might decide to run for Sheriff in 2007? Is the action taken by the Sheriff against Sgt. Constant part of a well orchestrated attempt to discredit his potential popular opponent? Could it be that Sheriff Craig Webre fear the quick crumbling of his dynasty may be in 2007?
