Neo-Nazism or Plain ole’ Harassment by Law Enforcement in Lafourche Parish?

FACTS:

One would begin to wonder if the alleged harassment by law enforcement on certain family members has anything to do with the truth being exposed by this blog.

OPINIONS:

The harassed grandmother’s dream is now bordering on becoming a nightmare.  At 10:26 in the evening, the phone rang at the grandmother’s residence.  The caller did not leave a message.  The grandfather got out of bed to look at the caller ID.  The grandfather became worried that a family member may have been involved in an accident, because the call was made from the sheriff’s department.  The grandfather called the sheriff department and inquired into the call.  A female-type deputy said that she had papers that must be served on the grand mother.  Why at this ungodly hour and why didn’t the deputy leave a message, the grand father asked?  The female type deputy said that she called earlier, but there was no answer.  There was only one call made, the deputy was not being truthful.  According to more than one attorney, the papers which was finally served near midnight should not be served after dark.  If there ever is a need to serve papers after dark, then there should be more than one deputy.  In this case, one deputy served the papers near midnight.  Why?  Harassment or Neo-Nazism?
The deputy walked into the residence of the grand mother and ordered the grandmother to sit.  She proceeded to read the papers three different times and continued to tell the grandmother that she would go to jail if she didn’t obey.  The only way to describe the woman deputy mannerism is to describe her actions to be like a 1944 Nazi.  In our opinion, the whole incident was nothing but intended harassment.

Harassment do not stop with the sheriff office.  In an other incident, the DA has the grandmother appear in court.  It is obvious that the DA is not prepared, so he offers an extension of two months, which during that time he will pretend to be doing the charged person a favor by having them inter a program which will keep them out of court.  Why wasn’t the grandmother given the chance to plead not guilty?  Is the DA saying that the grandmother is guilty without having her day in court?  In my opinion, if the DA accept charges on an individual, he should be prepared to prove that the individual is guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt.  In my opinion, these so-called feel good programs that the DA has is just another way of harassing people.

Could it be that the alleged harassment of family members by the Sheriff and DA is due to the truth being exposed in this blog?  This blog will continue to tell the truth.  The blog owner served his country proudly in the military.  He served to protect the US Constitution which protects this blogger’s freedom of speech.  Ask the Sheriff and DA, what branch of the military did they serve our country in?  I may be harassed for crimes I do not commit, but I will keep on blogging.

Stay in touch.  Observe their actions, listen not to their words.  Sheriff’s election is in the fall of 2007 and the DA is in the fall of 2008.  Can we all survive the harassment?

Lafourche Parish Tax Payers,

FACTS:

When the Lafourche Parish Council accept a sub-division into the parish system, they accept full responsibility for maintenance and up-keep of all road side ditches.  Grass cutting and clean-out is a on-going process which the parish is fully responsible for.
If a resident decide to place culverts in the road side ditch, he is saving the parish money.  The parish is saving years of regular maintenance.  Why does the parish insist on penalizing tax payers for saving the parish money?

OPINIONS:

Once upon a time an Attorney General was elected because of name recognition, not qualifications.  The AG office issued an opinion (not law) which stated that a local governing authority must re-coupe the cost of installing culverts in parish owned ditches.  The AG may have have fallen out of a pecan tree, minutes before issuing his opinion.
Low and behold, a female type parish president and a male type Councilman traveled to a neighboring parish (County) where they learned of the AG opinion.  The Parish President was all excited about charging the tax payers of her parish money for what has been an entitlement.  The parish legal adviser (District Attorney) who apparently was picking pecans at the time the AG fell out of the tree, agreed with the AG opinion.
The council did not agree with the amount of money the parish administration wanted to charge the tax payers.  Twice, the Parish President vetoed an ordinance because she wanted to charge more money.  Twice the Council overode her veto because they (all councilmen but two of them) wanted to charge less money.
The bottom line is that the tax payers will now pay for what should be an entitled service.  It is my opinion that the tax payers are not being properly represented by the AG, DA, Parish President, or the Parish Council.
None of this would make any difference if this happened in Lafourche Parish.  Any elected official can sell a surplus fence from the Mexican Border, to the tax payers of Lafourche Parish, and use it for flood protection somewhere between Larose and Lockport.  “Let em’ have it!

Stay in touch.  Observe the actions of your elected officials.  They really believe that they are helping the tax payers by charging less, rather than nothing.

The Us Congress was changed from a Republican majority to a Democrat majority in one night.

FACTS:

Just about every day, one may hear from the media or some Politician, a count of how many young American Military personnel lost their life in Iraq.  They go on to say that America is fed up with the war and they demand that our troops be brought back home, home to America where they will be safe.  The Young, brave, honorable Americans serving their country in Iraq had a choice on weather they wanted to serve America in the Military or not.  I had a choice and my choice was to serve America in the Military and I am proud of it.  In 2005 there were 846 US Military fatalities in Iraq, according to the Iraq Coalition Casualty Count.

A topic which the media and Politicians will not report on a daily basis is that according to the American Family Association, about 1.37 million abortions occur in the US, each year.  Do these young babies have a choice?  Thank God that the parents of our military did not abort them.
According to an article by James L. Lambert and Fred Jackson, on July 11, 2001:  (AgapePress) - A study published by an affiliate of planned parenthood says almost a quarter-million abortions are performed each year in the US on women who identify themselves as Born-Again or Evangelical Christians.
Why are Americans outraged about the war in Iraq and not the war on helpless babies in America?  Some of the same politicians who claim to be against the killing in Iraq are in favor of killing babies in America.

Another topic you may not hear about on a daily basis from the media and America’s politicians is that according to progressiveU, is that there are over 11,000 murders in America each year.  There are only 40 murders a year in Canada.  You be the judge, are our young Americans safer in America or in Iraq?  Canadians are safer in Canada.  Where is the outrage America?

OPINIONS:

In my opinion, if some other country would complain about lost of lives in the military and allow 1.37 million + 11,000 murders, America would demand action.

Stay in touch, realize that God may not be happy with us, far less our elected officials.  If I have offended some of you, I apologize.  I am just venting my frustration.

Be patient Lafourche Parish, More BS is on the Way!

Congratulations to all of the candidates of yesterday’s election.  You all have my respect and gratitude.  Good luck on all of your endeavors.  Lafourche Parish is now preparing for the 2007 election.  When I think of elections, I remember many public servants who worked hard to keep the public trust.
I remember a Parish Councilman attending many sessions of the State Legislature and acting as liaison between the Parish and the State Legislature.  The parish Council administration realized the expense being incurred and recommended that the councilman add his expense of being liaison on his parish expense account.  I remember the sheriff of that time, investigating the expense issue.  I remember that the DA of that time prosecuted the Councilman.  I remember for what amounted to be around eight hundred dollars, a councilman went to jail.  Not knowing all of the facts, the only statement I would like to make is, it appeared that the Sheriff and DA of that time done what they were elected to do.

OPINIONS:

It appears that this parish administration is alleged to have placed personal expense well in excess of eight hundred dollars on a parish credit card.  Is anyone in jail because of the expense issue?  Not with this sheriff an DA.  Of course, the lack of job performance by some Lafourche Parish elected officials could lead to possible entrepreneur activities.
I hear that there is a scuttlebutt going around Lafourche Parish.  It is rumored that a entrepreneur from Oklahoma is considering a venture where as, he will pack 5 pounds of  ”BULL MANURE” into brown paper bags and rent them out to the Parish as flood control systems.  This is a great idea.  The entrepreneur will only charge the parish $10 million for placement of this flood control system on the levee between Lockport and Larose.  The Sheriff’s trustees will not be overworked by handling five pounds at a time.  The DA will be made aware of the situation so he can provide a counter.  This way, the invoice will not be questioned.
This is a win-win situation.  The entrepreneur will ship all of the “BULL S**T” from Oklahoma to Lafourche Parish.  The home owners between Lockport and Larose will feel secured ant the tax payers of Lafourche Parish can look forward to more “BULL S**T” from our elected officials this up-coming election year.

Stay in touch, watch for business opportunities funded by the tax payers and be proud that our public officials will never be indicted.

Were Orwell and Toole, Writers With Foresight?

FACTS:

Reading novels from the past sort of tie in to today’s current events.

OPINIONS:

In 1949, writer George Orwell wrote a novel which condemn a totalitarian government bent on total manipulation.  The title of the novel is”1984″.  If memory serves me correctly, Mr. Orwell refers to government as “BIG BROTHER”.  Most of us have heard the term, Big Brother is watching, which refers to the non-existing privacy of the citizenry.  Does Big Brother exist in Lafourche Parish and America, today?

A book published in 1980 and reissued in September of 1987 was written by John Kennedy Toole.  The novel, “A Confederacy of Dunces”, is set in New Orleans in the 1960’s.  The main character, Ignatius Reilly, at one point during the story attempt to get Dorian Green, a flamboyant French Quarter Homosexual and his “sodomite friends” to infiltrate the army and thus “take down world wide government”.  It is implied that Ignatius felt that the election of homosexuals as political leaders would assure world peace.  Are we in Lafourche Parish and America getting closer to world peace?

The US Congress appropriated tax payers money to construct a fence along the US southern border in an effort to keep our southern neighbors out of America.  Some may agree that this money may be better spent by erecting a fence around the “Page Living Quarters” in Washington D. C. to keep some Congress members away from our young Pages?

Stay in touch, tomorrow is an election day, GOOD LUCK to ALL CANDIDATES.

When Will Lafourche Parish Tax Payers Receive Professional Representation From Our Elected Officials?

FACTS:

I closed my last blog entry by stating, “we will examine Cam’s response to Cullen”.  I changed my mind.  Cam’s response was so juvenile and unprofessional, it is not worth repeating.  It is obvious that Cam’s response was prompted by anger.  A person who responds with emotions rather than professionalism, may want to consider not serving in any public office.  Public servants are being paid by tax payers to provide an assigned service to the tax payer.  The public servant should know the duties of his/her elected assigned position and should possess the ability to conduct tax payers business in a professional manner.

OPINIONS:

As I was growing up there was a clothing store named Eymard’s.  They would hold a clearance sale once a year.  People would line up along side Louisiana Highway One for hours in anticipation  of being the first person to reach a particular item.  I remember my mother telling my father about the amount of money she saved by waiting for the clearance sale.  I also remembered my father saying “imagine how much money you would have saved by staying home”.
In reference to the flood protection (bladder) issue, My good friend the DA is telling the Lafourche Parish Council that he may be able to save the tax payers 4 million dollars by allowing him to speak with the rental vendor.  In my opinion, Cam can save the tax payers 5 million dollars by simply doing the job he was elected to do.  I understand that my Good Friend Cam would like this issue to just go away.  In my opinion, the Lafourche First concept of “GOOD GOVERNMENT”, do not include cover up of an alleged crime at tax payers expense.  Why is former governor Edwin Edwards serving time in a federal facility?  Why were former Sheriffs from Lafourche Parish sentenced to correctional institutions?  Why were former state Insurance commissioners sentenced to correctional institutions?  In one word, “prosecutions”.  In my opinion, Charlotte Randolph and several of her co-conspirators are alleged to have violated the tax payers trust equal too or greater than the fore mentioned group of public servants.  Why does it appear that my good friend, Cam Morvant, is trying to make this issue go away by paying out 1 million dollars of tax payers money?

Stay in touch, this is one of the few places you will read the truth.  Is it true that we have public corruption in Lafourche Parish?  I don’t know, but it is the responsibility of our elected officials to prove or disprove, not assist in cover up.  Are they living up to their responsibility?

Lafourche Parish Melt Down or Usual Cover-up?

FACTS:

Please pay close attention to the E-Mail which was sent to Lisa Orgeron and Cam Morvant of the Lafourche Parish District Attorney office.  The correspondence was sent on October 25, 2006 by Lafourche Parish Administrator Cullen L. Curole.

Where in the Charter does it allow the Council to authorize (by motion, resolution or ordinance) the District Attorney to negotiate an operation expenditure or transaction?  I understand Cam’s concerns, but I think this a separation of powers issue.  Negotiating with vendors is outside of Council’s authority.  How can they give you this authority?

Cam, you sometime answer our questions with the response, “this is a business decision and not a legal issue.”  With all due respect, this is a business decision and not a legal issue and I base that on our Thursday phone conversation where you said that Charlotte’s Sunday authorization was sufficient to authorize the transaction and the fiscal/authority was satisfied by your conversation with the Legislative Auditor, the auditor and the administration.

I feel blindsided by last nights announcement and request of Council.  I don’t think that they had the legal authority to transfer the negotiating with vendors function from the administration to the DA.  I don’t see that the Charter would allow this.

On another similar issue, you preached that where the Charter provides that the administration must bring forth a recommendation to the Council for the hiring of professional services and that the councilman could not advance this type of professional service.  Item 31 did not come from the administration and although I think Ms. Randolph would support it, here again, the DA is assuming the duties of the Parish President.

Cullen

OPINIONS:

I know what you are saying.  Cullen is right and he finally stood up to the DA and told him to stop interfering with the Council and the Administration.  Could this be another attempt to set up a smoke screen in order to continue the alleged cover-up?  Why would we ask such a question?  Perhaps it is because a special Council meeting was held last Monday where Cullen appoligized to Cam.  It is also reported that Cam was authorized by the Council to contact the Vendor (the fox guarding the hen house?).  Isn’t it true that Charlotte said that she couldn’t remember when she requested the tubes?  Isn’t it true that she remembered that she authorized the tubes on Sunday only after Cam publicly announced that her authority ended on Monday at 6:00AM? Can the DA  prove that Charlotte authorized the tubes on Sunday.  Can the DA prove that 102 tubes were actually needed and used for 28 days?  Why is the DA so willing to pay the vendor 1 million dollars?  In my opinion, the DA is interfering with the Governing Authority. It has the appearance of having the entire issue go away at tax payers expense.  In my opinion, the Lafourche Parish Council should not pay anything until a full investigation is completed by qualified federal investigators.

Keep in touch, we will examine Cam’s response to Cullen.  We will also examine the real reasons behind their actions.
